Update – Getting Accountable and Making Real Life Changes.

HEEEEY PRETTY LADY!

Happy Monday, Baby! Do yourself a massive favour and make the most of this week, you can do it! As promised, here is my update on accountability and life changes. I am proud to report that I have made a few changes, but not quite as many as I would have liked in the past two weeks.

Change is DIFFICULT! I find it so funny that we want to become new and improved people and that we know how much our lives will change from simple actions made consistently over time, but we struggle so much to commit! Even though I haven’t made all the change that I’ve wanted to, I’ve made sure to take pride in the good habits I’m forming and not beat myself up about the things I have yet to change.

Have you guys ever heard of accountability partners? As part of Lyn Allure’s Good Girls Gone Boss Society, she had us sign up for accountability partners – like friends who you report your goals and progress to. You share your goals and focuses with them, and they help you follow up with it. You don’t have to be part of a society to do this, just find someone you trust that you know will share your passion and goals but also kick your butt into shape. Goals don’t have to be extreme or long term, the graphic below is a guideline for how to start goal setting. Making one small change in each of these aspects can put you years ahead.

I was blessed to be set up with two amazing ladies, and we had our first accountability call yesterday morning. I was a little nervous before our call, but we had so much fun!

Andrea is from Texas but moved to LA a few months ago, and she has a fantastic presence and really loving energy. She is passionate about conservation, and I can tell that she is really going to go places with all the goals and ideas she’s put in place. You can follow her Instagram @andrea_nw

My other accountability babe is Em – she’s the sweetest English angel. She works a corporate job and runs a super cute Etsy art print store, the quotes she has will definitely crack you up! She has such a cool life story (from the little she’s shared with us) and is the best hype man! You can follow her Instagrams @emcorrasco and @heybeachfamily

I’m so excited to see how our friendship grows over these next few weeks and how we can support and help each other envoke real change!

Personally, I broke down my goals like this – (make sure to make them realistic & achievable.)

Weekly Personal Goals:

  • Establish an achievable morning routine that starts at 5 am. (I am not a morning person whatsoever, this will probably be the hardest part.)
  • Sweat for 30 mins daily (I have a subscription to BodyBoss – they do 30 min HIIT workouts) and stretch 15 mins daily (using youtube guided stretches.)
  • Bring lunch to work every day.

Weekly Professional Goals:

  • Finish GGGB Book Club book – Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
  • Commission my logo for my future business.
  • Post on here 3x this week :).

Weekly Financial Goals:

  • Track my spending.
  • Stick to my July budget, especially for business expenses.
  • Work on having an extra stream of income this week (selling old clothes on Poshmark or trying a side hustle.)

I haven’t completely finished thinking of my long-term goals, but two of them are to launch a Youtube channel and fully launch my business.

Overall, it’s been a great week, and I cant wait to see what the next update brings!

Some of my wins for the last two weeks were:

  • Creating a July & August budget.
  • Being active on Social Media (but for productive reasons).
  • Bringing lunch almost every day.
  • Organizing my house/room.
  • Keeping in touch with friends.
  • Minimizing my amount of wasted time (Netflix lol).

Two opportunities:

  • Staying consistent with my financial budget
  • Utilizing my planners and to-do lists.

I hope this post has inspired you a bit, and I hope you are motivated to make the changes you seek, I totally believe in you babe, and we can do it together!

XOXO
